STATE OF THE UNION CLINTON’S $$ FANTASY
$350 billion is the price tag on Impeached President Clinton’s latest
national address. That is the cost of programs proposed by Hillary’s husband.
And Clintonista’s complain about the “$40 million” spent by Ken
Starr. It seems spending money is one Clinton fantasy with a big price
tag. Take note: the Supreme Court boycotted the year 2000 State of
the Union and no can remember when that ever happened.
Call your Congressman to tell him your opinion on
the amount of money in these boondoggles.
*LIBERAL WOMEN AGAINST HILLARY!
According to several reliable polls, liberal women are voting
against Hillary Clinton in increasing numbers. The weekly New York
Observer has published numerous prominent New York feminists who
have only unfavorable comments. For example Fran Libowitz says
“(Hillary) doesn’t seem to have any ideas…and then she comes here
and panders.” Dr. Patricia Allen says "....I'm ashamed of her."
In the interviews: these liberal women cite what CIC has focused on
for years: Hillary is at the center of Whitewater, Filegate, Travelgate
and secret health care reform meetings. “No woman or man
would do a fraction of the clearly heavy handed and illegal actions
taken by Hillary and be considered electable," says CIC spokeslady Linda Whitman.
*HELP SAVE ELIAN FROM CLINTON DEPORTATION
Congress has returned from holiday recess and will be voting soon on
whether to grant American citizenship for Elian Gonzalez, the infamous
6-year-old Cuban refugee. Snow has closed the national capitol for the
last week, so your call to the Capitol Switchboard 202-225-3121 will have an impact.
Ask for your Member of Congress by name or your Senator by State.
Both Clinton and A.G. Janet Reno want to deport the young boy.
“Elian should not be used as a propaganda tool by Castro or Clinton,”
says CIC’s Steve Miroy, ”…America routinely grants political asylum
to “political refugees: This boy’s mother died to ensure her son’s
freedom” The Citizens’ Investigative Commission (CIC) is urging all supporters
to contact their members of Congress at
http://www.impeachclinton.org/impeach/contact.shtml
and demand they support citizenship for Elian.
*CIC VISITS FEC & CONGRESS TO PROTECT INTERNET
Members of the Citizens’ Investigative Commission (CIC) visited the
Federal Election Commission (FEC) to hand-deliver a protest letter to
FEC Chairman Darryl Wold (a 1997 Clinton appointee) on Wednesday,
January 19th. Mr. Wold declined to meet with CIC. However, CIC held a
brief meeting with his assistant counsel in order to guarantee
the delivery of the letter. In its letter, CIC stated its absolute
“opposition to the Federal Election Commission’s proposals to regulate
and restrict political speech on the Internet….. Neither non-profit
organizations nor private individuals should have their freedom of
speech suppressed by the unfair imposition of campaign finance laws…..
Any ruling which hinders political speech on the Internet will forever
change the meaning of the first amendment and steal this most cherished
right of our constitution.” CIC’s Jack Clayton says “If you mention
a federal candidate on your home page or in an e-mail, you may be
in violation of this current proposed law!”
CIC members also delivered similar letters to Speaker of the House
Dennis Hastert, as well as other members of Congress beginning with
Rep. George Radanovich (R-CA) at 123 Cannon House Office Building. The
letters to the Representatives demanded congressional support for
hearings into the FEC’s proposed actions and were well-received in most
offices CIC visited. A reporter with a major publication accompanied
CIC on its visits. Photographs of CIC’s visits and responses will be
posted on the website at http://www.impeachclintonagain.org soon.
CALL TODAY TO SUPPORT S. 1747 Internet Freedom Act
CIC plans to visit the Senate soon to deliver similar letters urging
support for the S. 1747 the “Internet Freedom Protection Act”
(sponsored by Senators Bennett, Burns and McConnell) which will protect
political speech on the internet from FEC regulations. CIC’s Scott Lauf
urges all supporters to contact their Senators at
http://www.impeachclinton.org/impeach/contact.shtml
and demand they
support S. 1747. “This bill desperately needs more than just three
co-sponsors,” says Lauf. "CIC is doing our part on the Hill, please
ask your Senator to co-sponsor and support S. 1747 today.”
*HILLARY’S CAMPAIGN FLOUNDERING
As a guest on WGR-AM radio in Buffalo, Hillary was grilled with
personal questions from talk show host Tom Bauerle who courageously asked her
if she ever had a long-running affair with murder
victim Vince Foster and whether she ever used illegal drugs. Hillary,
of course, said no to both questions, but not before telling Bauerle
that she hated him. Where’s Janet Reno Hate Crimes Division?
And in Rochester recently Hillary was forced to cancel a campaign
event because of the prospect of a low turnout of people.
*AL GORE, THE POTHEAD?
The squeaky-clean image of Al Gore the Democrats’ “family man” -- is
starting to crumble. Despite his long-ago admission of “trying”
marijuana back in the ‘60s, today Gore is having a hard time shaking
off his stoner buddies from his doobie days. Take his long-time friend
John Warnecke, for example, who has disclosed that he and Al smoked
marijuana regularly “in his car, in his house” at least up to his first run for
Congress in 1976. Maybe Gore will take claim to inventing the so-called “bong.”
*NEW DISCLOSURE ON ANOTHER CLINTON VICTIM
The charges of sexual harassment keep piling up on Bill Clinton. Mrs.
Cyd Dunlap, who attended a Clinton gubernatorial victory party in 1986,
stated she was repeatedly pressured by Bill Clinton to leave her
husband that night to have sex with the Governor, according to recently
disclosed court documents.
